follows 2 regiments through most
of the Civil War - Excellent!

Stories of some truely heroic women of our Civil War.

These are some of the wonderfully written short stories about
the Civil War by a man who was there, Ambrose Bierce.

Movie:
"Andersonville"

An interesting and stirring visual account depicting
the courage and devotion of those who were their brothers
keeper, and the cuelty, horrors and starvation perpotrated by
those who didn't care.

The first book
I read about the Civil War and also the first that comes to mind whenever
asked about the subject. Absolutely a great book!

This is a centennial collectors issue of 'The Civil War'
given to me by a guy I grew up with, Kenny, who I am lucky to
call a life-long friend.

A fine account of the second defeat of the Federal
army at Bull Run, Manassas, Virginia.

A good inside look at the daily life of a
capable and well liked Rebel Private.

A widely read and all-inclusive look through the eyes of a Federal
soldier and left to us for posterity. If you have any unanswered
questions regarding how thing were done during the four year long
war; feeding of hundreds of thousands of men, road building, transportation,
camp life and much more read this book.

Time Life's account of the great battle at Gettysburg

This second of a two volume series of Civil War Curiosities
contains a huge amount of relatively obscure information and should
be read by anyone interested in the Civil War.

I like books like this one that speak to the brave men
who did the actual fighting, and dying

An important fact little known to most Civil War buffs is
that without the bravery, daring and ability of the United States
Navy the Civil War may have dragged on for many more years. For
without it and its ability to claim the mighty Mississippi River
and thereby cutting the Confederacy in half, victory would have
come at a much higher cost - to both sides
