This page is
dedicated to all the people in my
life who have shown God-like patience with me during the long
process of building this civilwarstory. My submersion in and fascination with
the American Civil War has rendered my conversations with those around me
to a somewhat limited range of subjects. I don't think any of these 100 or
so pages would be the same without the help and encouragement I have
received from family and friends. Even with my pain-in-the-ass incessant
reference to anything and everything Civil War my Wife, Kim, has consistently
supplied me with Civil War material. From several recovered Bull
Run battlefield campground artifacts (the first pieces of what would
become a collection). The numerous books on the subject, insightful ideas
and suggestions. My daughter, Kristen for her excellent taste in Civil War
literature. And my son, Jason, who does a great job of feigning interest.
My good friend Kenny has on many occasions, from the beginning of this
journey,
gifted me with some true Civil War buff "stuff". A collectors Centennial
addition of "The Civil War", a large Civil War map of North and South,
9+ hours of Civil War documentaries, hard-bound books on Gettysburg and Second
Manassas, several 69 cal. replicas.......
I'm almost there now guys....shaln't be long.
Thanks!
Love,
John
