Simple
Perspective
on the Civil War
Reading as much as I
have about the Civil War with the many descriptions of supply wagons
pulling up provisions and equipage from the rear of the main body of troops, I
supposed I had a good picture in my minds eye as to what that might look like.
I didn't.
For me the picture on this page put into perspective what it took to supply an
army in the period of our Civil War. I call it
A Simple Perspective
One of the riders in the foreground is none other than
General George Armstrong Custer, though I cannot tell which one.
He
believed himself invincible in the on going war against the American
Indians. A couple of short years after this image was taken they
prooved him wrong at the Battle of Little Big Horn (Custer's Last Stand).
